Expand Your Horizons With Golf
by: Crystal Brookover
 he exact origin
of the game of golf is a mystery. The Romans, Dutch
and French all have recorded history of similar games being
played for centuries. As golf developed in the 18th
and 19th centuries in Scotland and Great Britain it became
known as an elite game for gentlemen's clubs and
royalty. Today the physical mastery, cognitive
challenges, and recreational potential of golf have opened
the sport to men, women and children from all corners of the
world.
If you have never experienced golf
as a leisure activity or sport now is your chance!
This summer the staff at Tama Hills Golf Course challenges
you to experience the timeless game of kings and queens for
yourself. It's easy! Come to Tama Hills with
friends, family, or colleagues, take in the beautiful
scenery, get some exercise, and meet new people from around the
world. If you have never played you can take a lesson
with a PGA certified professional instructor. Shop for
clothes, clubs, and golf accessories in our state of the art
Pro Shop. See the Pros at work during our second annual
Pro/Am Golf Tournament. Come
down, look around, eat a delicious lunch on the terrace of
our Tee House Restaurant, and see for yourself why thousands
of people in the Kanto Plain love golf at Tama Hills.
If you can't make it to Tama try a
round at the Par 3 or call 224-3426 to get more information on our programs and
